About the role
The Occupational Therapist is responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing therapeutic programs to enhance the functional abilities and quality of life of our clients. Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support individuals in achieving their personal, social, and vocational goals. Clients will be from NDIS, CHSP and private sources.
The role will be required to undertake a range of tasks including but not limited to the following:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ physical, cognitive, and functional abilities.
Develop and implement individualised treatment plans aimed at improving clients’ daily living skills and overall independence.
Utilise evidence-based practices to address a variety of conditions such as neurological disorders, musculoskeletal issues, developmental delays, and chronic illnesses.
Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions focusing on capacity building, skill development, adaptive techniques, and rehabilitation.
Participate in case conferences, treatment planning meetings, and interdisciplinary team discussions.
Desired Skills and Experience
Key Selection Criteria
Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Previous experience in occupational therapy preferred.
Experience working with diverse populations and a variety of conditions.
Strong clinical skills in assessment and intervention for physical, cognitive, and functional conditions.
CPR and First Aid certification.
A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) and a Criminal Record Check (CRC) issued within the last 12 months that includes working with vulnerable groups
A valid NDIS Worker Check (NDISWC) to be obtained and maintained at your own expense
