Job Description
About the role
You will perform end to end payroll functions and provide support to the Finance Manager and CFO to ensure efficient financial management of CCPC. The role is part-time working Monday to Friday, 9.00am – 3.00pm. You will work within a team of two, and will be required to undertake a range of tasks including but not limited to the following:
Process end to end fortnightly and monthly wages for 250+ employees
End of pay procedures and journal postings
Monthly processing, reconciliation and payment of all employee superannuation
Create records for new staff and maintain all employee records, including entitlements
Provide appropriate and accurate information to staff in relation to payroll, leave entitlements, superannuation and salary packaging
Calculate, manage and reconcile salary packaging benefits
Calculate and post monthly provisions
Produce and reconcile PAYG Payment Summaries
Assist with preparation of FBT and PAYG withholding returns
Generate payroll reports as required
Provide back up support for the accounts function
Desired Skills and Experience
Key Selection Criteria
Previous experience in a similar role
Experience processing payroll using payroll software; MicrOpay would be highly regarded
Working knowledge of MYOB
Experience with systems integration and project management
Familiarity with accounts functions and a basic understanding of bookkeeping principles, including journal entries, end of month reconciliations and adjustments, debits, credits and accruals
Competent using a range of software packages including MS Office - Word, Excel & Outlook
Exceptional organisational ability to manage multiple tasks and conflicting deadlines
High level of discretion and sensitivity when dealing with confidential matters
Strong verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail
A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) and a Criminal Record Check (CRC) issued within the last 12 months that includes working with vulnerable groups
