Job Description
About the role
We are seeking a motivated Occupational Therapist with experience in Home and Living assessment, recommendations and therapy to join our multidisciplinary allied health team. This role will see you working with clients funded through the NDIS and private services, delivering tailored assessments, interventions, and recommendations to enhance independence and wellbeing. The role is part-time, working 3 x days per week.
You will work alongside other allied health professionals in a collaborative environment, supporting clients with diverse needs through individualised care planning, home and living modifications, therapy sessions, and capacity-building programs.
We have a growing allied health team that includes a Mental Health Occupational Therapist, Psychologist, Accredited Practising Dietitian, and Counsellors. Together, we deliver evidence-based, person-centred care that supports people to achieve their goals and improve quality of life.
The role will be required to undertake a range of tasks including but not limited to the following:
Conduct comprehensive functional assessments and develop individualised treatment plans
Provide recommendations and reports for home modifications and equipment prescription
Deliver interventions to support independence, safety, and daily living skills
Collaborate with psychologists, dietitians, counsellors, and other professionals
Educate and empower clients and families to achieve meaningful outcomes
Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to quality improvement
Desired Skills and Experience
Key Selection Criteria
Bachelor or master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Experience in home and living modifications (minor & major)
Strong clinical skills across a broad range of conditions
Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
CPR and First Aid certification.
A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) and a Criminal Record Check (CRC) issued within the last 12 months that includes working with vulnerable groups
A valid NDIS Worker Check (NDISWC) to be obtained and maintained at your own expense
