Job Description
About the role
The Payroll & Accounts Officer performs payroll and accounts functions in conjunction with the Assistant Accountant and provides support to the Finance Manager and CFO to ensure efficient financial management of CCPC. You will be required to undertake a range of tasks including but not limited to the following:
Assist in the processing of end-to-end fortnightly and monthly wages for 250+ employees
Check and process mileage claims and other staff reimbursements
Assist with the preparation of Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) and Pay As You Go (PAYG) withholding tax returns
Assist with Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payables functions
Processing of National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) invoicing, including claiming on the NDIS portal, through MYP, receipt of payments received and clearing rejections as required.
Raise Lanternpay Invoice in MYOB in accordance with MYP claim processed
Monthly reconciliation of Lanternpay Clearing Account and NDIS Clearing Account and resolutions of variances
Coordinate Workcover reconciliations and employee claim administration
Desired Skills and Experience
Key Selection Criteria
Previous experience in accounts, bookkeeping, payroll or finance administration.
Demonstrated experience using payroll software - Employment Hero would be highly regarded.
Knowledge of NDIS and the SCHADS Award would be highly regarded.
Working knowledge of MYOB or similar package
Basic understanding of bookkeeping principles, including Accounts Payables and Receivables, journal entries, debits, credits and petty cash
Competence using MS Office - Word, Excel & Outlook
Exceptional organisational ability to manage multiple tasks and conflicting deadlines
High level of discretion and sensitivity when dealing with confidential matters
Strong communication skills both verbally and written with high attention to detail
Proven ability to work as part of a team or autonomously
Eligibility to work in Australia on a permanent basis
Driver’s license and access to a reliable and insured motor vehicle
A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) and a Criminal Record Check (CRC) issued within the last 12 months that includes working with vulnerable groups
